this is a new kabanata in our lives as we navigate the world of asian languages, authors and illustrators.
first generation immigrant pharmacists who would rather be pushing books than meds.
fostering language skills and cultural understanding since 2022.
The idea sprouted as we were traveling the world and going to a bookstore in Argentina 🇦🇷 and browsing through their children’s books section. We found a massive collection of Spanish-English picture books. We wished we had this for the Filipinos 🇵🇭.
As the pandemic started, we put a pin in it. We started hearing about the hate crimes targeting Asians. Two years later, we went to another bookstore in Porto 🇵🇹 and saw the Portuguese-English books this time and decided that it was time to do our share to raise awareness and acceptance of the Asian (and other North American minorities) heritage.
